THE IMPORTANCE OF MEDITATION



DOCTORS AND SCIENTIST RECOMMEND MEDITATION EVERY DAY. YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY? 
- BECAUSE MEDITATION WORKS.








ALWAYS FULL OF EXTRA ENERGY, I HAVE USED YOGA-MEDITATION EVEN AS A YOUNG BOY. I USEF TO LAY DOWN ON MY BACK ALONE IN MY LITTLE WORK-OUT CLOSET AFTER MY WORKOUTS. LAYING ON MY BACK I ATTEMPTED TO CALM MY HEART BEAT AND INNER SELF. JUST BY LISTENING TO THE RHYTHM OF MY BREATHE AND THE QUIETNESS OF THAT CLOSET, I BEGAN CLEARING MY MIND OF SCHOOL, DAILY CHORES ON MY MOM’S TO-DO-LIST AND OTHER NOISES OUTSIDE THAT CLOSET WORLD. 

MEDITATION IS A VERY POWERFUL ENERGY AND FUEL. 
YOU CAN LOSE YOUR SENSE OF BOUNDARIES AND FEEL MORE “AT ONE” WITH THE UNIVERSE. MEDITATION CAN TRAIN THE MIND AND RESHAPE THE BRAIN THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN WHEN YOU SLEEP. I ALSO USE IMAGING TECHNIQUE WHEN PROGRAMING MY MINDSET FOR MY 90 DAY PROGRAM PREPARING FOR COMPETITIONS. 15 TO 20 MINUTE SESSIONS GAVE ME THE COMPETITIVE EDGE. BY JUST FOCUSING ON THE SOUND OF MY BREATHING.

  1. FIND A CALM PLACE -
    THE FEWER DISTRACTIONS YOU HAVE,
    THE EASIER IT IS TO CONCENTRATE. FOCUS ON RELAXING.
  2. CLOSE YOUR EYES AND SHUT OUT THE OUTSIDE WORLD -
    SO THAT YOUR BRAIN WILL STOP PROCESSING INFORMATION.
  3. PICK A POSITIVE WORD OR PHRASE -
    FIND A WORD OR PHRASE THAT FILLS YOU WITH RHYTHM.
    RHYTHM IS SOOTHING.
  4. SAY IT WHEN YOU INHALE -
    TRY SAYING YOUR PHRASE OR WORD UNDER YOUR BREATHE.
    THE MONOTONY WILL INCREASE YOUR POWER TO FOCUS. 


YOU CAN ONLY LEARN TO DO THIS BY BEING ABLE TO SIT QUIETLY AND QUIET YOUR MIND. CHALLENGE YOURSELF. IT TAKES TIME TO GET GOOD AT THE PRACTICE. 

CONSCIOUSLY STAND GUARD AT THE DOOR OF YOUR MIND AND ONLY ALLOW TO ENTER IN THOSE THINGS WHICH STRENGTHEN AND ENRICH YOU.
